Wednesday 7th July 21 at 7-9pm. Meet by the ‘Bile Beans’ sign on Lord Mayors Walk, YO31 7HA. Come along and walk with us to hear some stories of ‘The Groves’ as we present our ‘Storytelling Walk around The Groves’.
Starting at the Bile Beans sign, we will take an easy walk, down ancient and discreet walkways where homes once stood, animals roamed and food grew. We will share what we’ve heard about local places of mystery, everyday tales of love and pain, stories of success as well as those of being shunned.
As we walk, we will stop off in several places to explore more about what these stories mean, how life was in days gone by and what it could be in the future.
Everyone that comes along will get a free booklet containing all the stories and a map that plots them out. This booklet will then be available to download along with an audio guide to the walk.
Let us know if you will make it, so we make sure we adhere to social distancing guidance, and keep everyone safe. Contact us by email tellusastory@wearethegroves.org or call/text 07951050153.
Look forward to seeing you then.
